The first dedication: To dedicate oneself to serving Him

Consecrating oneself to God involves becoming a person willing to obey God and hand over one’s entire being and life for God’s purpose . It is a period marked with the little and big statement of “thy will be done and not mine.” This is why God used the Garden of Gethsemane as the landmark.

My Request: Please grant me the grace to consecrate myself to You, without any resistance on my part.

God’s answer:

God, as the Holy Spirit holding a sceptre and the world.

Three steps up (the three stages of growing up-Infancy, Childhood and Maturity, as explained in Chapter 5: Life in Heaven)

You voluntarily step up to the plate.

My personal experience: This is the time when God exposed me to spiritual work like healing and spiritual counseling. This is not yet the time to go out into the world. This is just a preview of what is to come.

It was in this period of limited exposure to serving God where when I found out that serving God is not easy.

  • To serve God is to serve Him the way He wants us to serve and not the way we want to serve Him or think we should serve Him.

Before I got to this stage, I had watched a movie “The Exorcism of Emily Rose”. I told God that this is not an area I want to get into. As it turned out, when God began giving me a taste of spiritual works, most of what I did was in this area of spiritual battle.

  • To serve those whom God chooses and not those whom we choose.

It is up to God and not us who we are to help.

I bid them to go to you. You are always on call.

This is a sculpture God gave me on spiritual counseling and healing. I am to be available 24 hours at the day. I don’t choose my clients, God does.
